During establishing various Azure services, I found a small problem with 3rd party applications available on Azure Marketplace. Even you I have BizSpark account and wanted to use free SendGrid app, it failed on following error (Figure 1).
After investigation, I found that the problem is that I have disabled credit cards on BizSpark subscription. Funny – you have “free” BizSpark, but for 3rd party apps (even they are free of use), credit card must be allowed.
To enable it, following steps must be done:
- Go to Azure Account Management and you should see following information. (Figure 2)
- So you have to remove spending limit. Click on the yellow bar. New window should disappear (Figure 3). Check “Yes, remove the spending limit” and “Remove spending limit indefinitely”. There are another possibilities, e.g. remove it only to the next payment period.
- Set or select your payment method (Figure 4) and confirm it.
- Now you should be able to use 3rd party apps from Marketplace with your BizSpark account.
